Headhunters (Morten Tyldum, 2011)

What's it about? Roger (Aksel Hennie) is a successful corporate headhunter with a lavish lifestyle and trophy wife. However, he also leads a secret life as an art thief, using his job to identify rich targets. When he finally gets the opportunity to steal a priceless work of art, he jumps at the chance, but his latest mark (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) is not a man to be messed with, and the headhunter soon becomes headhunted.

Is it any good? So, would I give this film a job?

CURRICULUM VITAE
Name: Headhunters

Address: Norway

Qualifications: I am based on a book by Jo Nesbø ('the new Steig Larsson', according to his book covers); I star Coster-Waldau, who is currently hot thanks to Game of Thrones.

Profile: I am a slick and competent thriller, with a unusually unsympathetic hero. I move fast, with plenty of twists and turns, but I do get increasingly implausible and require some suspension of disbelief at times. I admit that my villain, who seems initially intriguing, proves disappointingly easy to hoodwink. On the plus side, my main star looks like the love-child of Christopher Walken and Steve Buscemi.

Achievements: I feature good action which is slickly put together. I also show some versatility with a few moments of black humour and I am happy to say I feature a couple of scenes of gratuitous nudity.

Experience: I am not that well known, but I am told I am an enjoyable, if forgettable, experience

Interests: I am a fan of the Millenium trilogy and Scandanavian crime fiction in general

Referees : Christopher Walken & Steve Buscemi

RESPONSE TO APPLICATION
Dear Headhunters,
Thank you for your CV. You do look and sound good, and have certain qualities that I like. I enjoyed assessing your merits, but I think there's a bit of bluffing going on to cover up your deficiencies, so I am afraid you ultimately did not score highly enough to be accepted. Nevertheless, I think you show some potential and I hope this will not stop you putting forward other applications in the future.
Kind Regards,
The Fast Picture Show

Anything else I should know? I used to get my hair cut in a hairdressers called Headhunters, but not any longer. Shorter. #shitjoke

What does the Fonz think? A good enough application, if a bit silly.
